There are some things that make me feel good. Snuggling with Bear. Warm baths. Getting caught in the rain only to know that I can have a warm bath and then snuggle with Bear.
Then, there are some things that make me feel bad. And I’m not just talking about feeling bad, I’m talking about feeling like I’m a bad person for feeling bad about these things.
I’m talking clear shower curtains. I’m talking about toilet paper dispensed “backwards.” I’m talking pimples in your nose and I’m talking about having the hot and cold water switched on faucets.
In an effort to alleviate some frustration, I have created some simple remedies to help ease the pain of life’s little annoyances.
Today I will address our first topic: Clear Shower Curtains.
First of all, I know that clear shower curtains fulfill its role as shower curtain. It keeps the water from splashing out of the tub when used properly (please keep the end IN the tub, otherwise, what’s the use?) and works just as well as any other opaque shower curtain.
So why does it have to be clear?
I understand the security issues. Being able to see an intruder if he (or she, I won’t be sexist) were to enter the bathroom while you are showering may allow you more defense preparation time. I understand; I’m a single girl living in America. That’s why I lock my door while I shower. But even if an intruder did enter my bathroom while I was showering, I wouldn’t want him or her to have a peek at everything of mine. It just doesn’t seem fair.
There is a fine line between security and concealment and this is just such an issue.
Therefore, I present to you…

Now, you can make yours out of any type or pattern of material. For this curtain, I used a vintage floral print that I happened across in my Grandmother’s sewing basket (Shout out to G-ma!).
All you have to do is find a piece of material that covers the width of your shower. Cutting the material to fit the length is not needed, as the distance from the rod to the top of the material serves as a nice window to peek out from if you should ever suspect the presence of an intruder (Bear nicely illustrates this point in Figure 2).
Now don’t you feel better? Even just a little bit better about yourself? Ahhh… Simple Remedy.
